Francisco Franceschini
Francisco Franceschini has extensive experience in designing programs and working with
children of all ages as well as adults. For the past five years he has been working at the
Palisades Tennis Center and the Director of Junior Development for three years. Mr. Franceschini
has been in charge of the, junior training program. In addition, he has worked on a program, in
the complete skills and techniques of beginners.
Mr. Franceschini created and launched the program “Tennis at School” by LA Best. LA Best provides
elementary school children with a supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program.
Tennis has played an important role in the development of the program’s participants.
Mr. Franceschini worked in Chile for eight years at “Estadio Nacional Tennis Academy” and five years
as a head pro. In this Academy Mr. Franceschini worked with professional tennis players and high rank
junior players, in the same period started a “Mini Tennis Program” (for 5 years olds). This program
incorporated complementary sports to accelerate development of motor skills patterns. Mr. Franceschini
was the first to start this kind of training in Chile.
As head pro, Mr. Franceschini trained students who advanced to national Junior Champions in all
ages (12, 14, 16 and 18 years old, boys and girls), 1996 the “Estadio Nacional Tennis Academy”
became the number one academy in the country.
Mr. Franceschini was selected seven times for the Chilean Tennis Federation as a Team Captain to
represent the Country in the South American Junior Tournaments and three times in the European Circuits.
Team players included Marcelo Rios (number one in the world 1998) and Nicolas Massu (Olympic gold medal
singles and doubles 2004) and Fernando Gonzalez (Olympic gold medal doubles 2004).
Mr. Franceschini, in conjunction with a fitness trainer and psychologist, created and launched an
investigation project sponsored by the Chilean Government. In this project one thousand children (7 to
9 years old) were tested and 50 were selected based upon a battery of test in three areas physics, mental
and technical. The children selected went through learning process program to see how fast a highly
talented child learns versus children with more average skills.
Mr. Franceschini in the beginning of his carrier was hired as assistant coach for “Club de Tennis la
Paz” which is the best Tennis club in Bolivia.
